Metro's Not Just a Rumour, More a Way of Life is a tremendous compilation of the Rumour's recordings for Stiff. Spanning 23 tracks on a single disc, this has the bulk of the albums and singles, with a couple of good rarities thrown in for good measure. This winds up being a wonderful summation of the band's strengths — they were a good, poppy rock & roll band, similar to Nick Lowe, Rockpile, Any Trouble, and, of course, Graham Parker, and this is the way to hear them at their best, even if you already have the albums.
