Arguably the most consistent member of the Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface has been going all out for almost 20 years now, livening up group albums and dropping a deep discography of high quality solo joints. On Wallabee Champ, he hits us off with a solid batch of gems, including several excellent remixes, B-sides, and assortment unreleased material from the vaults. Teaming up with a select crew of coconspirators (Raekwon, Method Man, Jadakiss, Fat Joe, Prodigy, Lil Wayne), he serves up his signature super-lyrical, slightly left-field style, enlightening listeners over richly funky, sample-heavy beats. He continues his series of rhyming right over old classics ("ABC" and "Good Times Part 2”), teams with Rae on the epic "Crockett & Tubbs" and "The Rich," and demolishes a classic Black Moon instrumental alongside Meth in the ferociously raw "'93 Freestyle." While more of a compilation piece than a proper solo album, it's still classic Ghost, great music from one of hip-hop's the most compelling MCs.
