Leaving Disney behind, the sister trio Everlife settles into a slick friendly groove on At the End of Everything. Falling somewhere between adult contemporary and inspirational music, At the End of Everything is sweet in its intent and impact, an album that comforts instead of confronts. At times, it can play like an aural variation of an inspirational poster — this is especially true when the trio turns biographical, as they do on "Three Little Girls" and "What Made Us," where the unspoken message seems to be "be all that you can be" — but Everlife is so gentle in spirit and candied in content that it's hard to begrudge the sisters their sunniness. Perhaps they could use a little more spice — the quickened tempo of "Stop Sign" and electronic percussion on "Love in Rhythm" have a greater impact because the rest of the album lacks this kind of flair — but Everlife comes by its sugary, happy, soft pop naturally, which is why it is ultimately pleasing, not irritating.
